My Only Party?

Journaling (sort of a sad tale, but I guess birthday parties weren't the big hurkin' deal back then as they are now):

I remember only one birthday party for me, as a child. I think it was my 12th. Luckily I have one photo of it. As far back as I can remember, it has always been a beautiful sunny, warm day on September 12th, with only a couple of exceptions. I dont remember anything we did at my party, except what is shown in this picture--the gift-opening. (list of people)

creative design with the curves - perfect position for the photo you must treasure it! It is rather sad, but birthdays weren't celebrated years ago - at least not like today! I don't have any photos - you're lucky to have one.... :)

I LOVE the photo, looks like a party out in the garden, sweet! I never thought of it until now, but I guess I don't have any photos either, we just celebrated as a family, but you are right, birthdays are bigger AND much more expensive.

Love the bold design in the background and the wordart that used duel colors. It really goes well with the BW picture. Not so sad just the norm for those times. I too didn't have many birthday parties and definately no pictures to remember them by. You're lucky to have this one.
