It was the day after the night before. Wed planned to go into San Gimignano but before we left our hotel, we received a text message from Paula & John, inviting us to spend the afternoon with them, soaking up the sunshine and having a cooling dip in the pool at the farmhouse. However, the Tuscan weather had other ideas! Instead of soaking up the sun, we ending up dodging the rain showers, but this didnt dampen our spirits, oh no! Instead of sunbathing, we had an impromptu sing-a-long in the bar, with John serenading Paula, much to the amusement of the farmhouse owners. Sometimes the simple things in life really do bring the most joy!
