JOURNALING: Were starting to turn into restaurant junkies a little bit, and Im not complaining. Going out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants has become one of our weekend things now - like real adults. I imagine its because we were so chained to the house for three years while Tom was back in college? Or maybe because weve both become so busy with work that it feels good to just get out of the house and not have to be responsible for cooking a meal? Probably a generous mix of both of those things, coupled with the fact that we just really really love great food and are lucky to have amassed such a long list of options over the years. This weekend Dave & Julie were finally able to join us - all of their ducks finally lining up a row for a night out. A quick meal with friends turned into a 2-hour gab session where we were finally able to catch up on each others lives. Its one of the best kinds of weekends really, one spent reconnecting with friends.
