Everything from week 4 of the wonderful 52 Inspirations. Sue Cummings rocked on this kit. And it touched my heart in a special place. This photo is old...Hannah is my niece, Janae was her best friend. How I loved the two of them. I needed to do this journaling! Thanks Sue!!!
The two of you were something special. You met
at Sams basketball camp. Janae thought that
you were some punk from the suburbs and she
considered herself a tough baller. When she
saw how well you played, she got an attitude
going. Sam called both of you over and
when he asked what was going on, Janae
blamed you. Of course, Sam knew Janae
well and didnt fall for her story. When
he got on her, she started to cry and you
went over and put your arms around
her and told her that you were
sorry that you caused her to get into
trouble. Even though you had done nothing!
You reached out to Janae
and loved her. And
she loved you back. As often happens, the
friendship of childhood didnt last. Janae found
other influences that drew her away. She had a baby
at 16. She dropped out of high school.
But for awhile, the two of you were as close as two
people can be. And it all started because you were
more concerned about Janaes hurts than your own.
