Molly has another Playlist challenge
, which once again I've left until the 11th hour. This one is about wants and needs.
Journaling reads:
Want: I really want to participate in Shimelles Journal Your Christmas again this year, but Im feeling ambivalent. I cant seem to get motivated, I cant decide on a format. Im finding myself trying to make the concept fit whatever album I have lying around at home. I cant seem to get past the fact that 2009s album is STUNNING, well written and witty, though I say it myself, and probably cant be bettered. On the other hand, 2008s album is tactile, eclectic and so entertainingly readable. I want to feel excited by this project, not this kind of vaguely backing off will-I-wont-I bother feeling. I want some inspiration. I need some inspiration.
Need: So I knew prompt 2 would be about weather, and lets face it, theres a lot of it about at the moment. At least, for the rest of Britain there is, but not in Shepherds Bush. Weve had like 6 snowflakes fall in the last week, when parts of Scotland and the NE are under feet of the stuff. Its not that I want snow here, its just boringly dull to just get the gales, and heck, to feel left out. Until, that is, this morning, December 2nd, prompt 2 day. We woke to snow; measly, barely there snow, but enough to be pretty and persuade me outside with the camera (before it all freezes over and becomes hideously dangerous sheet ice). Inspiration has stuck. I will re-write my dull prompt 2 entry. I will think hard today about what format my album will take. But Ill just complete Mollys challenge to use this delightful wordart first!
Now you thought I was saying that what I really needed was a bottle of vodka....HA! I think not, especially given how truly treacherous our streets are. No, I just saw this tiny bottle stuck in the snow and couldnt resist snapping it.
