I have been wanting to scrap this little conversation with my grandson, who is 6 yo. I am being more inspired to scrap more things like this by Selena's (Bush Girl) pages....I totally love her REAL LIFE JOURNALING!!!!! Not just the gushy mushy stuff!!
So thanks for that Selena!!!
Now here is the journaling:
Last week, I picked you up from the bus stop and on the
way back to the house, you asked me if you could marry
Savannah when you grew up. I was quite shocked. But
I answered by telling you that it was not proper to get
married to someone you were related to. He, of course,
questioned this too. So I did my best to explain "BEING
RELATED" and that it was against the law to marry
your own sister. So then he asked if he could marry his
cousin. I again explained "being related". This just
was not satisfactory to him. He sat for a couple of
minutes without saying anything. Then all of sudden
he just blurted out "WELL, NANA, WHO CAN I MARRY
WHEN I GROW UP??? CAN I MARRY SOMEONE FROM
MY CLASS AT SCHOOL??" OhI quickly told him that
would just fine, if that was what he wanted to
do. He smiled and said "I think I might just have the
one picked out". I LOVE THAT BOY!
