Journaling:
I don't typically set New Year's resolutions because like so
many others I have a terrible time at keeping them. Why set
myself up for failure? Now that wouldn't be a great way
to start a New Year would it? So I thought I would
try something different for this year of 2008.
I'm going to celebrate becoming me.
As a wife and mother of 5 it is so easy to lose
myself in everyone else and then be left wondering
who the hell this person is staring back at me
in the mirror in the mornings. To wake up one day full
of bitterness, resentment and self-laothing because I forgot
too look after me. This year of 2008, is going to be
about rediscovering Krista - the woman - not
Krista the wife, mother, daughter, friend or foe.
Simply just Krista, me, I, the woman. It's time to
look at all of me, not just the surface - the exterior
but the inside as well. It's time to get honest with
me again. I need to ask myself some important questions
and actually seek to find the answer.
