Journaling: As you advance in your tween years, I can see you pullig away from me more and more. You have always been quiet and to yourself with raw emotion but I sense you pulling further and further away from me. I do not know how to keep you connected and it scares me to death to think that during your teens we will not have a close relationship. If that does happen, when you come out of your teen spell I sure do hope we will be friends and closer than ever before. In the meantime, please be patient and empathetic with me and will try my best to do so with you. We are both new at this and neither of us has all the answers so lets try to work together.
