what a GREAT freebie and such a wonderful challenge!
lol and i never journal so this was a tough one for me
Journaling:
There is little doubt that any childs teddy bear is counted among the most precious of
pals, but Brenda has always been much more than just? a teddy bear to me...I recieved
her on my 1st birthday from my maternal grandparents...Little did they know that that
bear would be my sole confidant over the next 2yrs as my biological father took his rage
out on me and my mother, or that as we fled his wrath, she would be one of the only
possessions? that would be grabbed in haste on our way out the door when we fled...or that
she would sit on my bed in the trailer we moved into when we left my grandparents (whom we fled with) &
the only home? I could remember to start a new life with the man who would, over time,
become my Dad...friends came and went, we moved once more, boys broke my heart, & finally
adult life found me and I started a family of my own..yet always, this ragged teddy bear
caught my tears & propped my head during times I just needed to be alone?......
over those years, she lost an eye to one of my
many stray puppies, my
bratty little brother
literally got her nose?
her stuffing went flat
(possibly from all the
tears she caught on my
behalf), & her seams have
started falling apart
no doubt due to years of
constand wrestling from
me, my siblings, my cousins
& eventually my own 3
children...I can tell by
the way my husband looks
at her, he would love to
banish her to the basementcloset, but how could I allow that?! a spot
on the bed is the least i can do for such a loyal friend...
