Text: One of the first things we do to prepare for Christmas is put up the tree. Each year we seem to be getting earlier and earlier. In 2005 (photos) we put up the decorations on the 28th November. This year (2006) we were visiting Jo and Rhys and they had their tree up on the 24th. So Matthew really wanted ours up early, so we put it up on the 25th! The boys love decorating the tree, and looking at all the ornaments, quite a few of them they wouldve made in previous years. I like looking at ornaments that people have given me over the years and remembering that person.. The best part is turning the lights on and getting the train going under the tree. We generally pile a lot of decorations on the fireplace, I think they loook good all grouped together. Mum gives the boys an advent calendar with a little gift inside for each day until Christmas. This year Mum and Dad were visiting and helped us put up our Christmas lights. I am adding to our collection each year. We have all been going outside at arouund 7pm, and we sit and look at the lights before the boys bedtime.
