journaling:
Almost every Summer Sunday afternoon, when I was young, was spent with my Dad's family on Running Wolf Creek in the mountains of central Montana. My Dad, his brothers and friends loved to fish for the delicious, small brook trout in the creek. There were always a lot of kids, with all of my family and my cousins, to play with. In the photos above, my sister, brothers and I were having a lot of fun on a log across the creek. Dad is watching us in the middle photo and Mom is in the photo on the right. We also went on hikes as we got older and of course, we all learned how to fish. Our picnic meal always had fried chicken, potato salad, baked beans and chocolate cake. Family Picnic 1947
