we took a field trip to San Diego by train, and had a wonderful time touring the city by trolley and on foot.
(no small feet with toddlers!) Here is a page dedicated to the time we spent enjoying non-commercial sites... some public art by the waterfront and the landscaping around the hall of administration. Very cool!
