This is for September's "O" Scraps Creative Challenge
I found this old photo and it immediately brought back wonderful memories!
I used it for this challenge. The journaling reads:
My grandparents home.
This photo brings back so many wonderful memories! After a long day playing at the beach the entire family would drag those metal chairs outside to enjoy the cool night air.I remember us kids would play on the side walk as the transistor radio droned on. I see in the photograph my grandfather sipping on a soda. No cans or plastic back then. I remember the things a photo cant show you; the sounds, the smells and the images of life along the beach. I remember the cool ocean breeze. I remember the nights the ocean liners would creep by along the cause way, heading out to the Atlantic. I would get so scared. They seemed like enormous monsters to me. I couldnt see the ships and from that distance they made no noise. The only thing I could see were the hundreds of lights towering high up into the night air. I would run inside the shop until they passed. All these memories come flooding back to me when I found this old photograph. The most cherished memories of my childhood spent at my grandparents house. I hope they knew just how special a time it was for me.
Great, great challenge.
