JJ is in Europe and currently visiting Poland, so she created this kit in honor of the countrys national colors, red and white, thus, Red Bird came into being! The background painting is is of little town there, Silesian, Poland. Theres a bit of symbolism in this layouthee hee!
1. is obvious! shes HUNG UP! The man in her life has left and shes still hung up on him.
2. Theres a ladybug, a symbol of good luck on her hand and a red bird on her shoulder and on the sign of happiness right next to the phone booth. (although we always say.may the blue bird of happiness in this case its the red bird of happiness! Shes literally paying little or no attention to either, staying focused on her longing and misery.
3. The phone boothshes in a state of inertia, waiting for the phone to ring, the past.when everything around her (her subconscious mind) suggests she do the opposite.
4. the peach on the chairkinda silly, but life can be just peachy and sweet,the choice is up to her to pluck it off the awaiting chair or stay hung up on this man.
5. The die: Life IS a game of chance, but, shes ignoring all the signs of happiness that literally are surrounding her if she would but, move toward the future. Its near the phone booth as shes hoping luck will roll her way and he will call, when she should instead be looking at all the signs of future happiness if she would but adjust her focus and look toward the future and happiness. She should play the hand she was dealt!
In other words, life is what we make itit is OUR choice to look at the positive or negative in most situations. Why chose to view your life negatively when you can just as easily see it in a whole new light, by simply switching your point of view.
I know! I know! Sometimes my symbolism is silly, but I think underlying the playfulness, there is truth.
