Tonight is going to go down in history as the longest night of our life. Tonight you spent the night away from home for the very first time!!! Your daddy and I have been talking about it for a long time and decided that we would wait until you were at least 6 months old. Well now you are 7 1/2 months old and your Nana has been begging us. We finally broke down and said Yes. We met Nana, Papa and Riley for dinner and you went home with them right after. We had a few errands to run and after we were finished we stopped by to check on you. You were doing great. To be honest you were wide awake when we left and so happy to be with your Nana and Riley. Your daddy couldnt even say bye, I really think he was going to cry. I on the other hand said bye
to you at least 10 times.
I made Nana promise to call me when you went to sleep and at 11:30 that night she hadnt called so I called her. You of course were asleep! Your daddy and I were still awake at 3 that morning. Talking about how much we missed you. We had imagined this night. . . it was going to be a night of SLEEP SLEEP SLEEP but in reality we got less sleep than we did when we first brought you home. We woke up the next morning promptly at 7 and didnt hesitate calling to check on you. As we thought you were awake and ready for the day. I got dressed as fast as I could and headed straight to your Nanas house only to find that you were down for your nap. I accidentally closed the door to hard and you woke up. I was so happy to see your little smile. I know Nana will be very disappointed but it will be a long time before you spend another night away from home.
