My Perfect Day....Today
or it should say "in my dreams" --

This is for the Color Play challenge hosted by Oscraps as mentioned in the DST Insider (April) and at Digishoptalk.
t's my "imaginary" perfect day (which was based on the journaling prompt "National hanging out day" that I chose)....and it's about going away for the weekend with my hubby, driving up the Calf. coast, sipping local wines, eating well, and retiring to a fab. imaginary hotel....and the day goes onto another and another and another (hence the ending....."a girl can dream"
. Although these aren't colors I'd typically used, I loved how springy they made the LO feel....and loved recoloring one of them.
Peach paper: mine (Used required FF917A) and added a texture to it in PSE 6
Yellow paper: Nina Scraps in Oscraps (recolored FFEB69) Moonrise kit
Wordart: Sue Cummings at Oscraps from Perfect Day kit
Fonts: Pea Noodle and Pea Olsen
My journaling says: Although I've never stayed here, I love the area and my perfect day would involve getting up early and hitting the coast with my husband driving, and me alongside, equipped with several sb magazines and my camera. Wed stop at Peets Coffee for a hot Americano and pastry. My ipod is plugged in playing my favs.
Wed stop along the coast and have lunch, visit some local wineries, shop at some gift shops and gallieries, before arriving at our 5 star hotel. Wed check into our suite, with a fireplace lit, and a welcome bottle of champagne and strawberries waiting. Wed take a long hike with photos along the way. before returning to our room to relax in our jacuzzi before showering for dinner. Wed eat the hotels gourmet restaurant and sit near the stone fireplace. Wed be served local cheeses and pates, with amazing wines. Dinner would be perfect, a grilled fish and steak combo with veggies. Wed walk the grounds after dinner, shop a bit, then retire to our room, where a fire would be lit. Dessert and coffee would be waiting. Wed snuggle into the crisp, cool white sheets under a fluffy down comforter before falling peacefully asleep.... Well.... a girl can dream, cant she !? 2009
