Love this artsy notebook page! That texture of the background give it a real sketchbook feel so the drawing of Max is perfect. The way the water scene and the two fish are superimposed over Max is pure magic and his boat looks like it's coming right off the page.
What a fabulous story! I love the expression on the boy's face as the waves splash up high ... it makes me feel the storm that keeps him from fishing. Yet, just like a fairy tale, your story has a happy ending! The sun came back out and he was able to catch some fish. I love the sea gull and the sand that draws the eye from the boy to the rod and the boat.
This is so cool, Jane! I can just imagine Max telling you the story. You've really brought it to life with that great textured background and the blended fish and sketched bird. And, of course, that cute sketch of little boy Max. I love it all!
