For the November 2025 Color Play challenge, where @JeanneMN challenged us to use one of our own photos. I decided to use this vintage hand-colored heritage photo of one of my ancestors, Rosa Belle. I just love the heart-shaped comb in her hair! And I felt that Natali Design's Fall Afternoon All in One would go perfectly with the colors in her photo.

I started by placing Rosa Belle's photo on my canvas and setting it off-center to the right just a bit. I added a frame from Natali Design's collection, and then I stacked other paper elements from the collection behind the frame. There is some crinkly brown paper, corrugated cardboard, and a postcard.

Next I embellished the sandwich layers, by adding brushes or stamps, floral elements, and twigs behind and in between the layers. I added the tag, but recolored the hole reinforcement just a bit, so that it would match the color of her name, Rosa Belle. I selected that color from the heart-shaped comb in her hair. Finally, I decided which background paper to use and added some splatter paint from the collection.
