This months AJ theme was perfect and the idea in my mind (mostly) came out as expected. What isn't clearly shown is the strips under the woman at the bottom of the cross listing what was lost/risked. Sin, family, unworthy, and a few others. The gain was Him and worth everything I risked when I turned from the worldly ways of youth to follow Him. I used Remembrance for the background paper and cross, Adventures for the woman, Golden Season for the paper strips, My Antique Life for the books and Pin and Punch for the thumbtack.

Powerful Tracy. Love the way that you tacked that paper on the cross with the red thumbtack! The titlework is fantastic...and the message shows through!

Everything about this is fantastic. The messaging is so well portrayed. I love the girl leaning down and picking up the Word as you describe. I also love that she's humble and natural, at ease with the decision. Beautifully done.

Thank you Amy. I loved the girl. She just fit what I wanted it portray. We all will bow down one day.

Yes! I agree! Very powerful! I love that girl, also! Love that you have her bending down to pick up the "Bible" and love the pinned tag written in red to represent His blood! Love the stack of tags behind her on the ground vs. being pinned to the cross.....however, they could have been pinned there, too! Great job!

Thank you Vicky. I had the tags all pinned to the cross and it was cluttered and took away from the one in red (the blood). So I "threw" them down at his feet and left them behind. Was more impactful with them on the ground, redemption. :heartpumppink:

Oh Tracy, this literally jumps off the gallery wall with its symbolism and beauty! The first thing I noticed was the woman kneeling at the foot of the Cross. Your journaling description is so profound, and it truly touches my heart. I'm so happy that our word prompt for this month moved you so deeply. Very beautiful, my sweet friend.

Thank you Cheryl. Yes, the woman kneeling was needed. I searched my "people" folder and she leaped out at me. I didn't scroll very far before I knew she would be there and holding the book. I imagine this is how God sees us, kneeling at the cross talking to Him.
