Lauren's step-dad, Chris, signed her up for a 4H seeing project. He's such a sweetheart, since I don't get to see her very often he thought it would be a great way for us to spend time together. With under 2 weeks notice I was still game. LOL We squeezed it in between her volleyball camp, her brother's baseball games & animal chores. We used some of the burlap feed sacks that Chris still had left from his grandpa. Lauren & I brainstormed are idea, Wendell used his drafting background (Mr. May-sure) and drew a very detailed pattern.Lauren's step-dad, Chris, signed her up for a 4H seeing project. Now, serving is not her passion, spending time with her IS mine so that was a blessing for me and it was fun - Lauren's passion is animals which is why there HAD to be animals here. She's taking 13 bunnies, ducks, and a pig to show at the fair today besides her sewing and photography projects. Plus they have chickens, a dog and more cats and kitten than I can name.

Fun photos! What an amazing project you both created! Great shadowing and fun papers tucked in behind! The cute animals placed around the page add a fun touch too!

Thank you so much Sandy, that is so sweet of you to say. It was a fun way to use those feedsacks so they are a lasting keepsake.

That is so cool...great job girl..keep sewing it's a lost art. Great page showing off her creation.
It really is a lost art, and that's too bad; although, I have to admit, since joining the O, I've sewed very little. Thank you so much for your sweet comments, it was wonderful spending time with her.

What a great way to use old feed bags! Mark saves them, and stacks them on top of the fridge in the garage for who knows what. When I ask, he says they're there if I need them. Well. He doesn't take into consideration that if I needed them (which I don't) I need a ladder to reach them. Super creative project, and I love that you and Wendell spent such great time with your granddaughter. Core memories for sure. You all look so happy in your photos. Thanks for playing along with our Color Play Challenge!

With the family name on them they are extra special. We made a pillow out of them a couple of years ago. I wouldn't get out a ladder to get something I don't need ether. :floorlaugh: It was fun to spend a bunch of time with her. The girl is so busy with volleyball and all of her animals , she's so much fun to hang with.
