I used an older CP kit, Sailor Boy. My grandfather was a Navy man and while in HI we went to the Arizona Memorial. It was ...... I dont even have the words for what those brave men went through. The memorial is so touching and to be there with my Grandfather was super special. I overlaid the photo on the portal window.
This is beautiful, Tracy, and I totally agree, there are absolutely no words to describe the enormity of seeing the Memorial . It still gives me chills and I saw it 7 years ago. I can't imagine how wonderful it had to be seeing it with your grandfather. I only wish my dad had had the chance to see it. I love the way you overlaid the photo over the portal , brilliant idea and the sailor super-imposed on the list of names as well. Perfect choice of kits. When we arrived and I first glimpsed it, there was a rainbow coming directly out of the memorial, I felt like my dad was there visiting it with me. I've never experienced anything like it.

Thank you Jeanne. I was there in '92. Its so crazy to think it was that long ago. I'm so thankful for this memorial and being able to see it with my Grandpa. I'm sorry your dad never got a chance to see it. I love that you had a rainbow, what a sight that must have been.
