Inspired by Beverly's page (bcazzell), thank you! The hospital (I was born there!) looks like something out of a horror film. A new hospital was built in the 70s where my sister and niece work.
Process
A solid paper from APP Rougir was used as the foundation for the page. The black frame and mask was imported from FIDT Pack 3H. The postcard of the hospital was clipped to the mask. The large image of my grandmother was extracted with a custom shadow added. Photos of my grandmother were clipped to the masks of the APP Uncanny Metal frame. Transfers and splatters were added. The page was completed by adding dimensional embellishments, journaling and word art.
This is gorgeous! Those vintage photos are so amazing and the architecture of those times was equally amazing. There are several buildings similar to that near me. I love the extraction and your journaling was absolutely fascinating .
What a wonderful layout and interesting journaling about the hospital being built, and the funds raised to establish it. Such a lovely photo of your grandmother in her nursing attire (I still love the professional uniform complete with caps)! This will be a wonderful page to add to your family photo books. I love this!
Incredible story, so well portrayed. Yep, kind of a scary looking building, but it has character! Great use of the medical notions! (I have not come up with anything yet).
