May 25 AJ Challenge Week 1 {FORTITUDE}

  • Media owner pachimac

I have been going through a big change in my parenting life, and I realized that it takes a lot of courage and fortitude to weather the changes that come - especially when they are young adults. Our daughter is 22 and she is navigating life as a young adult, and Mommy is having a hard time letting go and handling the changes that are coming fast and furious.

This is beautiful, Susie! Love the mix of vintage with the modern silhouettes and the soft pastel with the aged background. If you think it's hard with your daughter, just wait till you have to use the skills all over again with a grandchild. Drivers license took more fortitude this time.

Susie, your AI pages are so incredible and inspiring. This one is simply awesome, and I love the pencil drawing of the girl in the center, clusters and background. ♥

What a wonderful layout Susie. So much truth in that statement, holding on and letting go. Adult children, I think, is the hardest years ever. Finding the balance of letting go and yet we know how hard it can be so we try to hold on. Such an amazing layout. I love the sketch as (to me) it feels like the battle, holding on (edges) and yet letting go (the blank middle for them to fill in).

Susie, what a fab layout - I love everything about it! Love the peach flowers placed strategically around the border, and also the main title about holding on and letting go. I like the image of a Balance Beam (of life) - too far either way can get us unbalanced; and for me that usually means I'm out of touch with my Higher Power God.
A STANDING O for you!

Susie, this is amazing. Truth abounds in the layout, and all the symbolism with the well placed elements is profound. Beautifully done, Inspiring in it's message and artistic in it's expertise. Congratulations on the Standing O!
