the journaling reads:
Rainy days are actually some of the best for taking photos. Sure, the soft, gray light doesn’t always make colors pop, but there’s just something about the puddles, the raindrops, and everyone clutching an umbrella that gives everything a little bit of magic. I love this photo of us walking home, all bundled up, umbrellas in hand — clearly, we knew rain was coming. What I love most is how everyone's personality jumps out of the picture. None of us even remembers where we were coming from, but Josef’s smirk says it all: “Why did we even bother going out?” Then there's Michal, defiant in his love of getting wet, myself who can’t help but hover protectively nearby. Katie’s smile — as always — just lights everything up. I love how my dad's standing there right, soaking in the beautiful chaos that only happens when children and grandchildren are visiting. And of course, my mom who is behind the lens documenting this moment for posterity.
