process: I started with ap1 from the collection as my foundation. I then placed the app frame.I clipped an image to RelatedFB1_2 and placed it over the frame.I extracted the spools and needle image and placed it above the clipped image,using a drop shadow.AT Related layers were placed above and below that image.I used MMRelated2_3 on the left side of the design,placing Related WAM1 at the bottom with some word labels on top of the BonusHeart on the right.AK Related were scattered within the design. Heart and Home Notions finished the page.
As a young girl,I would sit along side of both my grandmother's,mother and sister observing their sewing skills often. As I grew older,I became intersted in sewing and made garments for myself and my own children. My first machine was my maternal grandmother's,my paternal grandmother made everything by hand.With this page,came a lot of memories of times with my family.I sew a little now but not to the extent that I once did. I will always be grateful for the times shared as a young girl.Oddly enough,my daughter has no interest in the skill,but one greatgranddaughter is showing some promise...maybe.tfl.
