Journaling:
From Talkeetna we took this little plane up and over Denali. It was a spectacular morning. Terri sat in the co-pilot seat and had the job of turning on the oxygen when we got high enough to need it.

I love this Terri. I love seeing what you saw in AK. I love Talkeetna. Did you meet the Mayor while you were there??? Looks like Denali showed up for you guys too! So spectacular when it "shows" and isn't hidden by clouds.

We were told that we were extremely lucky with the clear weather. We've visited Alaska 3 times, and for a girl who grew up in the Everglades, I still have to say you have the most vicious mosquitos I've ever seen.
YEs, you are correct!!!! They are horrid!!! Our worst experience was near Fairbanks at Chena Lake. It was horrible. We went from car to tent then spent 15 minutes killing the ones that got in. Worst night camping ever!

Omg! We drove out to a lake near Fairbanks and barely survived. The ones that didn't get back in the car with us literally hung around outside and dive bombed us trying to get thru the windows!

You got some gorgeous photos, Terri! I like how you've arranged them, balanced with the title and journaling. I especially like the dragonfly (I guess we don't have any digital mosquitoes in the shop. )
@AK_Tracy Thanks for the info on Chena Lake. If I'm ever lucky enough to get to Alaska, I'll stay clear of it!
