This is page two of my Savvy Book Project. It is about my Mother's art journey.
These are the steps
I pick a template – FotoninspiredPack 3H.2
A Paper is added above the background layer – App Artsy – Solid Paper 2
I add the pictures to the mask layers of the frames or to the photomask always using Layer>CreateClipping masks. I add color to masks I am not using to hold pictures using Edit>Fill.
Transfers – are added to the page – APPArtsy Transfer 4
Elements – I removed the clock that was part of the template and replaced it with a heart and a decorative brad.
A-1 - The extraction of a woman with a paintbrush is my avatar for my mother.
Extractions – I extracted the vintage iron my mother painted to use as an element on this page.
Page Number- Using Wood AlphabetNumbers 2 and adding the style supplies by Anna
Tile – used Anna's Wordart supplies for prompt Story but added the phrases My Art and Her Art to the cluster
Journal-My mother has been gone a long time and yet her memory is very fresh with me. I have always been told I look a lot like her, and I think you can see this in the photo of us both. When she was a mother, her “art” was sewing and knitting clothing for me and my sister.
Later when she became a scout leader and camp program director, she turned to crafts especially ones she could teach the scouts and campers. But when she got involved in Trafton Senior Center, she started taking some art classes.
