I tried to do things a little different and different style. I'm not good at patterned paper (and its always so pretty) that I picked a patterned paper and built from there. My family outing is from my own photo that I extracted and then masked darker paper over so it was just silhouettes. Everything came from Worth It.
A patterned background is always difficult for me too, but on others I always think it works well. In this layout it is not noticeable because the focus is on your text.
