My perfect day would be a magical one. Tate and I love to travel and we would like to spend more time exploring the sights and sounds of other countries. However, my perfect day would be spent going back and indulging in some of my favorites.
First off, Tate and I would awake in our over water bungalow in Bora Bora, French Polynesia. We would step right out and take a nice morning swim and maybe do a little snorkeling. The water would be a brilliant blue with brightly colored fishes abound.
After a quiet relaxing morning, we would jet off to Vietnam for a boat cruise along Ha Long Bay. The warm misty air against my skin, the view of hundreds of limestone islands, and the taste of freshly prepared seafood would be a delight to our senses.
To view the cherry blossoms in Kyoto, Japan, would be our next destination. The sweet blossoms lining every path and way are every travelers dream. It is a wonder to behold on this special time of year. After aimless wandering, we will find our way back to our ryokan only to find a sweet treat and a steaming furo waiting for us. When we are done, a kaiseki dinner will be served, many little dishes for one to enjoy.
To close this evening, would be a quiet gondola ride in the canals of Venice, Italy. The gondolier will whisk us away while Tate and I relax arm and arm, reminiscing about this perfect day.
Finally, when we arrive home, Bostyn will be soundly asleep in her crib. We will look over her peaceful little body and be reminded of all the joy and love that she brings to us. We quickly realize that it wasnt the travels that made the perfect day, but these tender and quiet moments together that do.
