Prompt 5 = overlooked Details
my Journaling:
“overlooked details” For years, this was a normal photo for me. Only after my mother had told me so much about her life in recent years did the photo take on a completely different meaning for me.
My mother is standing happily in the garden of our house, hanging up the laundry.
For the first time, she is experiencing freedom again, large rooms, running water and a garden.
My family was completely bombed out in Dresden during the war in 1945, later had to flee to West Berlin and lived for several years in very cramped conditions with friends in a room without hot water.
They found the house by chance.
This moment was the beginning of a new future.
