The journaling reads:
Dec 25th: Christmas Day was snowy. Very snowy. We took the gondola up and then went down to the bottom of the orange gondola, and I remember meeting Katie half way down. We were skiing in ankle-deep loose snow which made the familiar slope incredibly demanding. Both her and I were panting and our legs were shaking. And we hadn’t even arrived at the bottom of our first slope yet. Up on the Mount R it was a total weather calamity: foggy, windy, snowing, skis sinking deep into fluffy snow, low visibility… Up there, it was the the mountain which controlled our skis, not us, and we did not love that. We went all the way down and straight for lunch. In the end, we did 19.5 km of skiing but there was a lot more contact with the ground that day, both planned and spontaneous. Either way, Christmas challenge completed! We were knackered.
Thank you for looking.
