NONE of your layouts have been "downers". They're beautiful, vulnerable, tender, heart wrenching and amazing. NEVER a downer. I see what you aren't able to see at this time, growth, healing, and releasing emotions. The love that floods your layouts stands out beautifully.

I REALLY needed to hear this right now, Tracy. Your words really mean so much to me and thank you for telling me that my layouts aren't "downers". You don't know how much your (always) kind and encouraging words mean to me.

Yes, the struggle is real! And you will always have "those days" ... or weeks ... when your circumstances see so unfair! Remember, God has not forsaken you! I know I'm "preaching to the choir" ... but with a big . Better days ahead is my prayer for you, sweet Cheryl! Beautifully scrapped emotions!

Thanks so much, Vicky. I know you've been there and it helps me to get advice from you and some other widows. I know better days are ahead.

Cheryl, I am so empathetic with you--- the last two weeks I have been hit with waves. I thought I was "over' this?? But now I wish so much to pick up the phone and talk to Dad. The reality of that never happening has hit HARD. I wish I could give you a hug, but I will just say that you keep moving- its easy to see that you are! We're livin in the memories. I wish I had more of them as an adult. We lived so far from them the past 15 years. But we can be grateful for what we DID /do have. Great grief comes from great love.
