November Week 3 {GRATITUDE}

Week 3 of the November Art Journaling Challenges has been [URL='https://oscraps.com/community/threads/november-art-challenge-week-3-gratitude.40839/']posted [/URL]and our word prompt is GRATITUDE.

What does my layout have to do with Gratitude? I'm grateful that I've made it this far and I'm still standing. "I Will Survive" - I AM surviving. I've had a difficult week and since I'm "Grief Journaling", I would be remiss if I didn't make my weekly page reflect my past week. I'm also GRATEFUL that the "bad weeks" are becoming less frequent.

NONE of your layouts have been "downers". They're beautiful, vulnerable, tender, heart wrenching and amazing. NEVER a downer. :heartpumppink: I see what you aren't able to see at this time, growth, healing, and releasing emotions. The love that floods your layouts stands out beautifully.

I REALLY needed to hear this right now, Tracy. Your words really mean so much to me and thank you for telling me that my layouts aren't "downers". You don't know how much your (always) kind and encouraging words mean to me. :heartpumpred::heartpumpred::heartpumpred:

Yes, the struggle is real! And you will always have "those days" ... or weeks ... when your circumstances see so unfair! Remember, God has not forsaken you! I know I'm "preaching to the choir" ... but with a big :hug4: . Better days ahead is my prayer for you, sweet Cheryl! Beautifully scrapped emotions!:hug2:

Cheryl, I am so empathetic with you--- the last two weeks I have been hit with waves. I thought I was "over' this?? But now I wish so much to pick up the phone and talk to Dad. The reality of that never happening has hit HARD. I wish I could give you a hug, but I will just say that you keep moving- its easy to see that you are! We're livin in the memories. I wish I had more of them as an adult. We lived so far from them the past 15 years. But we can be grateful for what we DID /do have. Great grief comes from great love. :heartpumpred: :hug4::hug2::hug1:

Yes, we have to be grateful for the memories we have, Amanda. I would love it if we could give each other a huge hug. :hug4:I can tell you need one right now, too. You are always gentle on my mind, but especially so now, with the holidays here, a time that overflows with emotions even in the best of times and these are not those for you. It's just the first of a year of firsts of the worst kind and especially since you had the best of a lifetime. Those pieces will never come back together completely, nor line up completely, but you are strong, you will survive, eventually you won't be walking in stilettos on glare ice. You have a heart filled with the kind of love not everyone has the opportunity to experience, kids who adore you, and friends that would do absolutely anything for you.

Oh my goodness, Jeanne, I'm trying not to cry right now. Today is our wedding anniversary on top of everything else. Your words are so powerful and heartfelt and you know they mean the world to me. My "kids" are coming over in a few minutes to help me decorate my tree. I didn't do it last year and I'm hoping it will help. You are the best - I'm SO grateful that we've become such good friends. :hug2::heartpumpred::beatingheart::heartpumppink:
