The best kind of sleep, under Heaven above, is under a quilt, handmade with love.

I’ve scrapped this photo of Stuart holding this quilt a while ago, but I couldn’t stop thinking about cozy snuggling under a quilt for this new APP Inglenook. And this quilt is the only one I ever made that matched the colors of the APP. I think I like this layout better. This was a hand-pieced top made by Stuart’s wife Robin’s grandmother and never finished. I added the small muslin border, zigzag border, solid red backing and machine quilted. I know you’re probably not supposed to do that. The old fabrics are very fragile. But I think it's more of a keepsake than a daily user.
