2013 – Griffin & Molly, aka Beetlejuice and The Purple People Eater, I guess, I'm not sure. I made many costumes for them over the years, by 2013 they had gotten too old for that and wanted store-bought ones.
An extraction of my photo was placed on a new document. AMP Beau AP1 was placed for the foundation, blended with Autumn Crisp Paper 2, blend mode Linear Burn and a Hue/Sat Adjustment. Transfers and Overlays were placed to build a foundation for them to stand on. Embellished with MultiMedia, UrbanThreadz, WordART, Word Transfer, splatter, pumpkins and date.
Yes, the image was in the window in the photo just like I took it. Too bad I chopped the roof point off. Oh well, not a huge deal breaker or I would have fixed it.
I agree! I don't think I ever had a store-bought costume, always came up with something; a wife in curlers and raggy robe, Dolly Parton and the Tin Man come to mind. I won a contest with the Tin Man, I painted a large box (cut out holes for arms and head), a funnel, and my face all silver and wore one of those silver sweat suits. Fun times! Hmm, I wonder if I have a photo somewhere.
My grandson was a fly fisherman for Halloween, with cardboard fish and big boots and a hat. So simple, so adorable. My daughter had way too much fun making those fish--thought you'd appreciate knowing that homemade costuming is not dead! Love those awestruck pumpkins on the left.
