#2-pumpkin-poem.jpg

This challenge focused on one of James Whitcomb Riley's poems. He was known as the "Hoosier Poet" for his use of the Indiana dialect in his work. His poems often reflected memories of nature and childhood. I was born in Indiana and his poems were studied in every high English class I was required to take.

Used Anna Aspnes' stitched pumpkins and stains.

Thanks for looking.

Yes, I agree! Simply beautiful, Christy! Perfect for the phrase you chose from the poem! Great history lesson, too! Thanks for participating in the challenge!

A-mazing! That’s cool you were born in IN! I’ve lived here all my married life and our family loves JWR! This is very special.Christy.

I was born in Hammond and lived there for most of my childhood. I have very fond memories of Indiana, it’s such a beautiful state. Where are you from?
