Hoping for Rain

Nothing but a sprinkle or two since August, so fall colors are sparse. The pond is almost dry. Everything is brown, crunchy and dusty and we are still running the A/C. Looks like we're in for a very short fall, probably a couple days, then it will be winter.

Splatters, Glows

The Artsy Layered Template was placed on a new document. The layers below the frames were grouped, my photo was clipped to the group, duplicated two times and clipped to the group; 1st copy modified with PS Filter-Find Edges, Soft Light BM, lowered Opacity; 2nd copy modified with PS Filter-Oil Paint, Blend Mode Soft Light, 100% Opacity. The frames were rotated and photos clipped to the masks. Apothic AP3 was placed at the bottom of the layers panel for the foundation. Embellished with elements, word art and urban threadz. Transfer1 was added, blend mode Soft Light followed by a gray/blue Gradient Fill, blend mode Soft Light. Finished with journaling, date, ScriptTease, glows and splatter.

Definitely something to document, and beautifully done. Such a good use of the crinkly embellishment. I had a few small potted shrubs ready to plant this fall because usually our falls are temperate and rainy, but no dice this year. It's bone dry.

Beautifully documented, although a concerning story. Poor cows :-( Yes those crinkly leaves are perfect here. I hope it rains soon!

My goodness, this is powerful! Love the use of the dry leaves but it's worrying what we have done to our planet and the weird climatic changes we are all experiencing! fingers crossed for rain soon!
