This is the volcano Eldfell. It erupted recently Jan 23, 1973. This excursion was the one my DH was waiting for, ATV through the lava fields. He drove and I had to constantly tell him to watch the road and not the scenery. We stopped so he could take photos then LOL. It was interesting and riding on the ATV was fun.
Okay, I see where you are--thanks for the map! You got some excellent photos! We've ridden through the lava fields on horseback and the ATV idea is new to me!
