Journaling: Emsley camped with us for several days at Conestoga SRA. The time of season must have been perfect for the cicadas to be shedding their old skin. Emsley found several on the canopy shelter and tent. Twice there was even a fresh new cicada near its cast off skin. Emsley was pretty excited to see them. While she had no qualms about picking up the shed skins and rearranging them on her shirt, picking up the live cicadas was a different matter. She would scream and dance in typical little girl fashion when she felt them moving in her grasp.
Beautiful use of the template, Rochelle. I was going eww, eww, eww, even before I read the journaling. The bright blue in the pictures, paired with that kit is just leaps from the gallery, or was that a cicada that leapt out of the gallery eww, eww, eww, The pretty cluster looks like it was freshly plucked from nature, and I may be 72, but when it comes to bugs I can STILL scream and dance in typical little girl fashion, and just reading that last sentence gave me the heebie jeebies because I could feel them. Did I mention I'm NOT a bug person?
