Ohhhh this is great! We were to have gone too, but events prohibited it. My husband is 1/3 Eastern Band Cherokee. We are going up to Cherokee NC next month for the week long fair. Looking forward to him being part of the Veteran Warrior Dance.

The NC Cherokee did NOT make the Trail of Tears horrible journey. The rest of the Cherokees ended up here - about thirty minutes from where we live. IF you ever get out here, please let me know. This was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life to attend this.
