I had no idea what I wanted to do. I looked at last week and thought maybe I would keep it similar. Then it flowed. I used Believe in Miracles again and Nocturnal Creatures Alpha. Different genetic disease, same attitude, keep smiling. God is good and knew I needed to be able to fight for my kids.

This is just perfect for this week's challenge, Tracy. I'm so happy that you got your muse and the creativity just flowed!! I love the feeling behind this - the blue color is perfect and so are the shadowy figures. Thanks so much for joining our challenge this week. :hug3::hug4:

Thank you! :heartpumppink: The blue, which wasn't explained, is the main color of the CMT ribbon. I was going to add it and forgot. And cant figure how to add it here LOL

Darn it - I hate when that happens. There are 3 little dots up at the top (by "leave a rating, etc.) and one of them is to replace your layout. It won't show on the gallery previews, but will show when the layout is enlarged. The only other option is to delete your layout, add the ribbon, and re-load it. You'll lose the comments, but it you want to do that, we can add the comments back in.

What a special page...I never heard of this disease so I did some research. Looks like your determination makes it so you can do most things you want to do. Wonderful selection of photos and I love that they blend together just like life flows one thing into the next.

I'm okay leaving it like it is. Thanks for the ideas of how to if I wanted. :heartpumppink:

Thank you Debby. The fact that you researched it made me want to cry. That means so much. :heartpumppink: Its a very common, unheard of disease. Thank you.

I also looked this disease up, Tracy. That's interesting how it got it's name. How long have you had this? It says that it's inherited and I just wondered if you've had it since you were a child. One of my grandsons was a "toe walker" I distinctly remember that. He seems to be ok now. I didn't realize that it effected almost the entire body. I knew you had some problems, but I had no idea it was this serious.

You make me cry. I love that you both looked it up. You have no idea what that means. Yes its inherited so I have had it all my life and my three boys have it. My version is X-linked so for me its less then what my boys deal with. The myelin sheath is not being lubricated (x job) so nerves cant travel. I always thought I had sexy beautiful calves but what I really have is lack of muscle and so they look like upside down champagne bottles. Add in the lipedmea and I think that's the only reason I have any calves and shape as my boys are just minimal muscle and bone. Each person has this stupid disease differently. Its crazy how it differs per person even in the same family. Of my sons, 1 needs surgery but is in braces and his thumbs are 85% useless, one son had both feet worked on, total reconstruction but his thumbs are 80% functional, one son has arch supports and his thumbs are functional but his hands are boney so you know its just a matter of time. All of us have hammer toes, high high arches and almost no hand strength.

September is CMT awareness month. There's a challenge out that if you want to see what its like, wear potholder mittens and try to do life. Hold a glass, eat, button pants. The lack of 'touch' is how it feels, cant always feel things, no strength. Its funny to watch videos but its also a bit how its like in life. I've handed my son a glass before only to watch his finger go around the glass and the glass just kept going on its journey to the floor to shatter into a billion pieces. And yet I saw his hand curl around the glass and "hold on" to it.

Okay, yeah, I will stop :heartpumppink: Just wanted to say I really appreciate that you researched and took the time to "see me". You and Debby really made me tear up this morning by taking the time to look.

I had to look it up. Why is the word "tooth" in the name of the disease? But, you have the right attitude.....keep smiling.....I guess that's what the Lord meant when He said, "Give thanks in everything." It is comforting to know that when we get to heaven all of these earthly health issues and diseases will be left behind! Love all of the little photos blended into the bg. Great page.

Tooth is the name of one of the guys who discovered exactly what it was. Three names and yeah French man and a man named Tooth. Throw in Marie cause why not :floorlaugh: They also were part of MS. Why didn't they use their names there? Why did I have to get their names??? Its funny, everyone hears Tooth and thinks dental issues. Thank you for taking the time to look it up. :heartpumppink: Means a lot.
