Beyond belief because rarely can a trip go awry so thoroughly... the airline had lost all our luggage, it was raining heavily, the catamaran might or might not be coming to pick us up as planned, and the only hotel on the island had no vacancies beyond the day after... but we'd dealt with plenty of situations over the past 20 years, so the day was more of a comedy, rather than a disaster... who cares if there was a bit of hysteria in our giggles...
