I have been wanting to make this page for a long time. I didn't know how it was going to look. The AJ theme of Focus had me spinning my wheels. I started to think what am I focused on. Well, my health. But in what way? Well, this fall and 2025 will be focused on surgeries for my Lipedema. Not a typo. I used Nocturnal Creatures for the alpha, Believe in Miracles for the purple strip, and Tropical Getaway for the green background. Lipedema is a tough topic in my family. I kept it simple to keep the focus on the problem. My daughter just went through a year and six surgeries to help her live a better life. Pain, heaviness. Fibrous fat tissue. Imagine a bag of frozen peas in your arm then have your blood pressure taken. Its beyond painful, tear inducing, and being told to suck it up. Often misdiagnosed.

Thank you Vicky! I seem to have the fun of several common rare issues. This is one of those. But I know God has a plan. :heartpumppink:
Indeed He does. It's the training of our emotions to trust and rest upon it that is the challenge. Thank you for sharing, I will pray for your Fall to bring relief.

Thank you @svanderhaegen.
Thank you @Amandajk

It must have been difficult for you to witness your child go through those surgeries, and I hope her life is much better now.
It was hard but I was so honored to be there for her and help her through this process. She feels so young and free now. She use to decided do I vacuum or do I make dinner. Now she can vacuum, make dinner, chop firewood, crawl on the floor with the kids, and still do laundry. Its been wonderful.

I saw this LO the other night when I couldn't comment and it's been saved in a tab on my laptop until I finally could. Oh Tracy, I remember you mentioning Lipedema previously and talking about it; your layout is both informative and beautiful. The information you share is helpful in educating so hopefully others won't have to endure what you and your family have. I really like the soft and healing colors you used and that the purple strip is from "Believe in Miracles". Your journaling is placed so well and your quote is perfect for this topic and your page. Thanks so much for sharing and creating this, sending hugs to you, my friend. :heartpumppink: :beatingheart:

Thank. you Marilyn. :heartpumppink: I'm so happy you found it informative as that was my goal. I want to inform as many as I can so everyone knows and never has to feel bad or wonder. Its heartbreaking at times to hear my daughter tell me I should have tried harder to figure out what was wrong with her. But genetics meant I didn't know, she looked like all my family. So I vowed to tell everyone who would listen and sometimes I get a bit loud. I also loved the purple paper is from Believe in Miracles, its just perfect.

I love the purple; besides being a purple lover, I always think of it as a healing color... You know, we do the best we can at any given time with what is available to us. And things are so different now with Immunology and Genetics, it's hard to believe that so much of what is available and commonplace today wasn't even dreamed of not too long ago. I went for a battery of immunology tests in the late 1980's. Ok that's a while ago now, but Immunology was a totally new specialty then and I was lucky to live in the NYC area. The tests had to be sent to California, one of the few labs in the country doing these test. And it took THREE months to get results, when I think of it now, that's crazy. But it was all so new, Immunology was unheard of! Now these kinds of things are done routinely all over...
Anyway, I try to remember in life that it's hard to make comparisons or "should's" because very often the playing field is totally different at different times, so you just can't.
Oh well, that's my spiel, never can be sure. Sending hugs Tracy and really? "A bit loud" is sometimes very good and is most certainly effective, you go girl! :heartpumppink:

Yes, a bit loud :giggle4: I do tell my daughter, we didn't know. We didn't see you as flawed. We saw you as looking just like the women in our family. She cant be mad at me for not fixing what I didn't know. We didn't have google. When I knew, I moved mountains and gave up a lot to help her move forward. I think she's finally realized had I know I wouldn't have ignored it. Cause mama bear was there when we knew and we fought for coverage. :heartpumppink:

You're right, I even forgot about the internet, no instant access to all kinds of information either! I have no doubt at all you would fight to the finish for all those you love, you're the best Tracy! :beatingheart:

Tracy, I am so sorry that you are suffering with this disease. It truly is a painful and hard cross to bear! I am in awe of your positivity through all you are going through!

Thank you Susie. I've learned the hard way, I can choose to be positive or grumpy. I spent a lot of years in grumpy. Now I am choosing the Light. :heartpumppink:
