aimeeh_jurrasic,
My photos and photo me by hubby. I extracted the slabs so they are easier to see and I made the mask for my top corner photo.
Journaling-
We took the 7 mile bumpy dirt road out
to the site. I got a seat, hammer and chisel.
I split rocks for 2 hours. No human eyes ever saw these fossil before. I accumulated lots of partial fish. We packed them in the truck for the ride back home. Once I got home I started to uncover more with an exacto knife that were still hidden in the limestone. It is tedious but so exciting. I very carefully put pressure on the knife to shave away the limestone little by little. When I am done I am going to put resin on them and set them in special places in my gardens. My two biggest ones will hang in the house.
