When Rochelle asked for recommendations for a good campground near me, I told her about all of the beautiful places to visit around the area. She’s like, we’re not coming to tour Minnesota we’re coming so we can meet. Silly Nebraskans, they were going to come in April. April in Minnesota means lakes and outhouses are still probably frozen over. They decided to come at the beginning of June instead when campgrounds have at least turned on the water and Mother Nature has turned up the thermostat, only this June she forgot, and they were greeted with the last 4 years’ worth of rain we hadn’t gotten, not quite a warm welcome. We joined them at their campground for supper on an evening when it didn’t rain. I was nervous, talking to someone online is a whole different thing than talking to someone in person, but it was like we’d known each other forever and Denny and Wendell were two peas out of the same pod. We talked a lot, laughed a lot (note Denny’s laugh crinkly eyes) and Rochelle served a fantabulous supper. We brought hors d’ oeuvres’, cheese & crackers, and it was a new experience for them, cheese and crackers are like a food group in Minnesota. I’d heard a lot about Shiloh, what my imagination had spit out wasn’t a German shepherd who looked like he was big enough for a saddle. He took an instant liking to me, NOT, OMG, Shiloh, what shiny teeth you have and what a loud bark you have. You’re very handsome and wearing a gorgeous coat. Rochelle says he’s a rude jerk of a boy and demands to be in the spotlight, he convinced me. Daisy was my therapy dog, LOL, she sat beside me during supper, maybe she thought I was the most likely to drop food. Even though Minnesota weather wasn’t very cordial, we had the BEST time!
