Thanks so much, Bitzee. I love this template! Yes, she was thrilled with her grandpa's hat. I have his hats hanging on a rack and she had been wanting to ask me for the orange one. She was tickled to pieces when I told her he would have wanted her to have it.
Oh Cheryl, what a beautiful tribute! How special. I too gave my kids one of my dads hats and its so beautiful to see them wear them. Hubs has one that my dad wore the time they went moose hunting. He wears it all the time. Was so hard at first but now I love seeing the hats on my family. I love Ava's smile. You can see how much she cherishes the hat. Praying she wears it all the time and hold Chuck close when she does. This is such a special layout of such a special blessing of such a special man. And the woman who loved him so much, yet able to share those special items.

Tracy, I wish I had your gift of just the perfect words to say, I truly do. You literally reach through cyberspace and give me a huge hug with your beautiful words. That's so awesome that you gave your dad's hats to your kids and hubs wears one of them, too. It's SO special to see them wearing these things that were so special to our loved ones. I have goosebumps on my goosebumps right now. Ava was very special to Chuck and when she asked me for it, I told her that he would want her to have it. You should have seen the look on her face. She hadn't asked before, because she didn't think I wanted to part with it. I told her that it was hers, and she went right over and put it on. (I have special pictures of his hats and made ATC's out of some of them.)

I just love this layout and the tribute to Grandpa. Nothing holds the essence of someone more than the favorite cap that was part of his daily life. I love the stacked photos with 2 framed alike and the 3rd a separate way. What really intrigues me is how you use the elements large, something I've never tried. This layout is going to be the inspiration for the September challenge I'm hosting.
