August Art Journaling Challenge Week 2

Our Word Prompt for Week 2 of the August Art Journaling Challenge is [URL='https://oscraps.com/community/threads/august-art-journaling-challenge-week-2.40316/']Serenity.[/URL]

I used one of my featured quotes by Ralph Waldo Emerson, and used our word prompt "Serenity" on my layout this week. I've used this little "wounded bird" once before, but this time, I added wings. My layout represents her metamorphosis from the sad little bird to the beautiful ballerina. The quote ties it together.

Oh Cheryl, this is stunning. I love the transformations of this. The wounded bird with her beautiful wings crying at night, sitting alone by the window. Transforms. Beautiful strong ballerina dancing in the sunlight and finding the courage to move forward day by day.How you blended this all together is stunning. I love the different windows, dark and sad and light and happy. I'm so happy youre slowly finding your serenity and peace. I am so honored to be here and share in your process. Oh my goodness, Tracy, I'm welling up with tears now. I put my heart into all of my pages and you always understand them. I'm so thrilled that you're embracing our AJ Challenges and that you're growing through your pain as well. This is such a wonderful outlet and I'm so happy that I chose to journal through this instead of crawling in a hole. OMG, I see right to your soul every time I look at one of these. They leave me speechless but make me want to reach out and give you a big hug. You will be upright again someday angel, there will always be that dark hole, but with love from your family IRL and online

What wonderful and heartfelt comments on my AJ page, Jeanne. I feel that hug through cyberspace as I read them. I'm doing better each day, but do have some setbacks. I suppose I always will, but the love from all of you as well as my IRL family sure has sustaind me for these past few months. :hug2::hug4::heartpumpred:

Oh my goodness, Lynne. You don't know how much your words mean to me. This has been such a release for me to work through my grief with my art. Thank you, more than you'll ever know, for your support and thank YOU for providing me with so much inspiration with your wonderful digital designs. :heartpumpred::beatingheart:
