Misplaced, lost, found. The embroidery was found among old papers and photos. A great deal of care annd skill was needed to create this sample. The back was indistinquishable from the front. A distinct characteristic of my Aunt Nancy’s style. Note how the design was completed with a small touch of unmatching thread.
The background was created from APP Fabric Artsy paper 1, Transfers 4, 1 and 6. Multiple overlays and brushes (splatters, splashes, fabric textures) were added to the layers. Some of the brushes were recolored. The embroidered piece was clipped to the png files of Fotoblendz 1 and 4. The title group was created from the Multimedia Fabric 1-1, Palette elements, and Fabric Beadart. The photos were blended into the background using a layer mask. The Blending Modes were adjusted to Softlight, Overlay, and Hardlight to place emphasis on different areas.
A fabulous story and snippet from the past! Great layout, with two versions of the photo and of course the star of the page - that embroidery!! Beautiful
