It's funny how a simple torn edge can do so much! Here it provides a divide between the inside and outside of the Long Beach Aquarium.
On top of the divide I used page 7 of Scenic Template Album 12, adding a Frame from one of the ArtPlay Palettes I used (Sea Life, I think), coloring the stains and textures to match the photo.
For the title I created the word "summer" from letters in Summer Word Art, clipping a photo to it, and placing a white copy beneath with a Drop Shadow.
On the right I used FotoInspired 3F Page 3 (looked for something with 4 masks and frames to use).
The page was boring. Went to town with Sea Sprinklez, shells, fish, creating somewhat of cross of embellishments. Still boring. Found some seaweed clip art, colored it to match Pacific kelp, and created an undersea environment. Then I added "bubbles". FInally I was happy with it.
The school photo of Oz was not taken at the Aquarium, but happened to be texted to me while we were there. Don't you just want to smush those cheeks??
Oz is so darned cute! That torn edge really does accentuate the difference between inside and outside this wonderful LO. The photos, though, are the real stars of the LO. They tell the story beautifully!

Your pages are never boring. Oz, is always the star of the page! I love those pinchable cheeks and that wide-eyed look in the bottom photo. All of your extra special touches and the wonderful photos capture the memory of a fun day.

Great idea using the torn edge. I'm having trouble making them work. But glad you kept at the 'boring' layout. The seaweed clipart does it for me. And of course, OZ! The school pics really have a way of emphasizing how much he's changing and growing.

Thank you so much! It was a fun day!

Yes, it was absolutely the seaweed that changed this from boring to a statement of inside and out! Good point about the school pics - I should look for last year's and put them side-by-side!
