I am about to shock you all, I used flowers and one kit! I love Diamond of the Season. Such a fun versatile kit.

This page was hard to create and there were tears as I looked for the perfect photo. The quotes though, were perfect and I couldn't think of any other ideas then this to create. When the layout demands to be made, you follow your heart and make it. The photos are mine, hence the tears. My dad and I celebrating a new chapter in my life and then my sister and I saying goodbye to our dad in his final chapter of life. Lots of back story and explanation, sorry but I thought you might want to know the story, but the layout demanded just the quotes, not story.

So emotional, Tracy! Tell us this story whenever you like. It seems to be very important in your life. I find it very difficult to tell such stories myself. Perhaps we haven't overcome one or two of them yet? :heartpumppink:

They are hard to tell. Its even more .......... recent feeling...... lost my FIL in January and it brought it all back up. Was daddy's girl so I think it will always be hard and present but I dont hurt as badly now. I can look at photos and smile.

Tracy, this is a beautiful representation of those important life chapters. The final chapter for a loved one is so difficult to navigate. But it seems that you have healed enough to be able to make a wonderful page and talk some about it. That is a biggie. Thanks for sharing with us :heartpumpred:

I really like what you did here and thanks for sharing it all with us. I remember when your FIL died and you were so sad, I find deaths often do bring up others. I wanted to love this and laugh at this. I didn't know what reaction to have but I am laughing at the flowers on your layout too!! :giggle4:

OMG, this made me teary. The quotes are absolute perfection and no, the page doesn't need journaling, but I'm glad you added backstory, it helps make the page even more personal. I think this "lapse" in flower aversion was perfect for this page. And one kit, Twin, we are wolving, my last one was almost one kit, scary.
