The photo on the left shows my paternal grandparents, they must have married in 1929.
My father was their eldest child of 11.
On the right you can see my maternal grandparents. They got married on 22 April 1914. My mother was the youngest of 9 children.
My father came from a very poor family of mountain farmers, my mother from a middle-class urban background (my grandfather was a trade union secretary).
